New Fencing anyone!

On 30th June in Albert Road, Severn Beach between 23.00 and 4.00 hours, unknown offenders removed 5 fence panels from victims garden. The victim lives in an end house and the fence ran in a crescent from the front to the rear.

IF YOU ARE OFFERED CHEAP FENCING - BEAR IN MIND WHERE IT MIGHT HAVE COME FROM - AND INFORM THE POLICE.

Oh dear, oh dear!

Between 16th and 22nd June entry was gained to Severn Beach Village Hall, possibly whilst a function was in progress. Once everyone had left, locked cupboards were forced open and a 32" television set (used by the Youth Club?) was stolen and exit made via the fire escape door. Did anyone see anything?

Alas our new PC Louise Thomas has resigned, and although adverts are out for a new beat officer, our PCSO Chris Baker will bear the brunt of tending the Severnside Beat (with the help of others from Filton, we hope). Please continue to report all crime,(especially the motorbikes!!) but be patient he will get back to you eventually.

distraction burglaries
[RINGMASTER COMMUNITY MESSAGING - SOUTH GLOUS - D68 17/06/2009]

Hello All

Please advise all Watch members that there has been a spate of distraction burglaries mostly in Bristol, the common denominators being:-

Waterboard, checking water pressure
Small silver car seen at 2 incidents
White Males, one mentioned several times in recent days; white male, aged in his 20s and less than 5'6" tall, short brown hair.

Please advise members to be vigilant and aware of the above, again the aim not being to increase the fear of crime but to use the Locked (all doors), Stop (Is anyone expected, back door locked?), Chain (put chain on before opening the door)and Check (ask for caller'd ID, check it by phone) approach to callers!

If you have information about any crime, phone the police on 0845 456 7000 or you can call anonymously to the independent charity CRIMESTOPPERS 0800 555 111.  For general information about Neighbourhood Watch nationally see the www.mynhw.co.uk website.
