Dark Nights!
Just a reminder that the clocks go back this weekend, so the dark nights start early, and early mornings too! This is the time for Thieves to start so think about investing in some light timers, and not just in the same room either. Check your security and make sure your outside lights are working.

Horse Watch
Members of all neighbourhood watch and Horse Watch are reminded to be vigilant at all premises across the district where horses, riding tack and vehicles such as horse boxes or carriages are stored. This follows the most recent incident over the weekend of the 14th to 17th September 2007 at HORTHAM LANE ALMONDSBURY where tack and a horse box was stolen from an isolated farm building.
This type of equipment continue to be targeted by thieves. There is a ready market to dispose of stolen items and they are frequently not marked or made identifiable allowing return if subsequently recovered. Please spread the message that any suspicious movement of persons or vehicles should be reported to the police as soon as possible.
