Scenes taken by NHW members around the Avon & Somerset Force Area.  Next year we hope to have some from this area, curtesy of our wonderful photographer and web designer Michael. Help us raise some funds for your NHW and solve the common question, what can I get this year.

Had very funny e-mail from Daryl pointing out that the crime figures I put on last night included the whole parish, not just Severn Beach, sorry. WARNING - If you are Christmas shopping, make sure nothing is on show and if you are leaving presents in the boot, it might be an idea if somebody stayed with the car. Daryl was thinking of the 20 years of SSC and that he has been a PC for 15 and our beat manager for half of that time! He also says its about time they built an international airport here, departure lounge in the Cross Hands, and runways cleaned by the tide twice a day!! Did we know that the English Stones were part of his beat, he never has had a crime there,apparently only PC Nick Harley was ever able to walk out there though (when the tide was in). 

Have received the Crime Figures from PC Daryl Lodge, who has not been skiving, but on a course to learn how to be a beat manager!!!!!!!!  These are in addition to the ones received from NHW.  Pilning had none but in Severn Beach there were 11 incidents.  6 referred to domestic incidents, 2 were damage to or theft from motor vehicles, 1 internet fraud and 2 thefts of scrap metal from industrial premises.

Like others, I too have the set of Laing/GTM newsletters as well as some of the Balfour Beatty ones.  Its hard to believe that 20 years have passed since we first learned about the proposal to build a bridge over the English Stones.
