Any old iron and others!

Please be aware that a T reg blue Mercedes Van is going around and occupants taking gates etc., from gardens. If you are working on your gates please take them to the back and out of sight. If challenged they claim to be working for a Scrapyard in Avonmouth, this is not so, so if you are bothered by them please telephone the police.

On Saturday 19th a car in Beach Road  had the letters 'F' and wording similar to 'Hoho' or 'Hohd' on offside rear door. Anyone who saw anything please inform the police.

Between the 21st and 23/09 an unknown offender entered a property (bungalow) via front door and removed £80 to £90 of change stored in small pots in a glass cabinet. No other rooms searched thank goodness as occupant, in poor health, was in the bedroom at the time.  Unknown if implement or car used. Again if you saw anything, please let the police know.

Scratchy and Dumpy ladders and a new man!!

Please be aware that somebody (or bodies) think it great fun to go around 'keying' cars. Happening mainly in the Beach Road, Beach Avenue area, but now it appears to be spreading. It is NOT funny or clever to do this, a lot of people have had to spend out money getting their cars put right, and before you say 'well they have insurance' a lot of people have an excess which is probable more than the repairs.  Please be a good neighbour and keep your eye out.

During the night of 17th/18th September, a yellow dumper truck was stolen from the grounds of Severn Beach School. This dumper is being used to make the outdoor play area for the Sure Start children, and if anyone has information please inform the police.

Attempts to steal some ladders off a van parked in Beach Road, near Estate Agents is being made every Saturday late night. Again please keep an eye out.

A new beat manager has been appointed to our beat, he is PC Steve Bird and will start on 24th September, 2009.  Let us all hope that he will stay with us for a much longer time than the last.

Motor Bike owners beware!
A member of NHW had their bike stolen from their garden on 18th August, although recovered 2 days later, it was written off.  Please secure your bike with locks and even attach it to the ground where possible. Always report thefts or any else that has you worried to the police on the non-emergency number, above, or if urgent 999.
