Travellers have illegally camped behind the Royal Mail building at
Western Approaches. Please pass this information onto your neighbours.
As always be extra vigilant with your property by keeping doors and
windows secure during the day. Because sadly when with these nomadic
people arive  crime figures seem to rise.

There were 2 reported crimes in Severn Beach and 1 in Pilning during August.

Gorse Cover Road - Ford Transit parked on drive broken into. Males disturbed and work equipment stolen.

Osbourne Road - Theft of Peugeot 206

Green Lane - Front window on Ford Transit smashed overnight. Satellite navigation equipment stolen.

Door to Door - Scam - "Tugs at your Heartstrings"

Please be aware that we have had a few incidents of a door to door confidence trickster pretending to be stranded in Severn Beach and trying to return to their home outside of the area.

In this case the person was a young girl (14-16) asking for help.

This particular person has not directly asked for money but "Tugs at your Heartstrings" and has been given money in the hope that it will be used to assist their passage.

Please be aware, we know it seems tough but don’t entertain these people who have ruined people’s genuine trust and desire to help?
