Be careful where you park, and watch out.

Thefts of catalytic converters from MPV type or pick up vehicles, those that are high off the ground so no need to jack them up, are on the increase.  Current locations for these thefts are in Large car parks, such as Asda, The Mall and Parkway Railway station, be on the alert and don't part your vehicle in an out of the way area of the car park.

2 white males (maybe a third involved too) are gaining entry to elderly ladies dwellings at present in Bristol.  They use some excuse like 'children in the back garden, pretending to be the police by flashing a Sheriff's badge, etc.,' and have taken some large sums of money. Firstly, NEVER EVER let anyone into your property without proper identification, Secondly, NEVER EVER keep large sums of money in your house. If at all unsure please ring the Police.

HELP PLEASE
The shed in Pilning Old Cemetery has been broken into sometime from Friday 28th and Monday 31st May.  All the lawn-mowers, strimmers, petrol cans, equipment etc., has been taken!  A new strong door had recently been fitted due to previous attempts at entry and 2 strong padlocks fitted, yet they still managed to gain entry. DID YOU SEE ANYTHING, were you up at the Cemetery on Saturday or Sunday, was the shed OK then? Apologies to all for the state of the grass only we will have to wait to get new machines.  Help us please to get our property back.

Gardeners Beware!
Did a property next to you suddenly sport a new hanging basket, because one was stolen in Beach Avenue. How can people do this to others! Its bad enough when lawn mowers etc., are taken, but to take a hanging basket which many enjoy making and putting up is the pits. Perhaps the person(s) who took it, might like to return it, I know the residents would be delighted.

We believe there is no point in reinventing the wheel.

So rather than duplicating the already quality advice that is already available on crime reduction techniques we have provided a link to the Avon & Somerset Police website that has comprehensive section on this subject.
